• Demonstrates accountability for professional development to enhance practice and patient care. • Experience: 0–2 years; BSN preferred
• Skills: Ability to provide age-appropriate care, apply growth and development principles, assess patient data, and respond to age-specific needs per department policy
• Interpersonal: Strong relationship-building with all levels of staff and patients/families
• Work Environment: Able to work effectively in complex settings with shifting priorities and specialized equipment
• Clinical Judgment: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to lead others in applying the nursing process
• Physical Requirements: Mobility, manual dexterity, and stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning
  
  

Licensure & Certifications:

• Current RN license
• CPR certification (AHA standards) within 30 days of hire
• UPMC-approved national certification preferred

• UPMC offers flexible scheduling options, including night/weekend programs with premium pay (requires 6+ months of nursing experience and orientation during regular hours)
